Projects Performed :

• İzmir Katip Çelebi University Atatürk Training and Research Hospital, Stroke Center Project: Since 2013, as the largest hospital in the region, a project has been developed with the Ministry of Health for the treatment of endovascular mechanical thrombectomy and intra-arterial thrombolysis as the largest hospital in the region and established diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

• İzmir Katip Çelebi University Atatürk Training and Research Hospital, Department of Interventional Radiology, Training Programs: In line with the training program of the Turkish Interventional Radiology Association (TGRD), where he also serves on the board of directors, for post-specialist and assistantship, diagnosis and treatment in the field of Interventional Radiology trainings were given.

In 2011, he got his specialty from Dokuz Eylül University Radiology Department. For 8 years, he worked as the responsible physician at the Department of Interventional Radiology of Atatürk Training and Research Hospital, İzmir Katip Çelebi University. As of December 2019, he has been working at Galen Hospital of Izmir Tinaztepe University. Dr. Lect. Volkan ÇAKIR works in the fields of neurovascular interventions (treatment of cerebral aneurysm, treatment of arteriovenous malformation and cerebral artery stenosis), as well as treatment of arterial and venous diseases, leg varicose veins treatment, fibroid embolization, treatment of liver and kidney tumors.
